7mge vs. 7mgte
7mge vs. 7mgte
What are the major differences besides the turbo? Can a 7mge be modified to be similar to a 7mgte? Has anyone here put a turbo on a 7mge? |

The major differences are compression and cam differences. I think people talk about changing cams and getting a little more power, but not sure. And You can't use the same amount of boost but some shim up the BOV so much that I think it would help to have more compression in the lower rpm range. I don't know if the pistons are made with the same material either, but I bet they are.
Also the intake design is different along with the fuel system and metering system, so I guess there are a lot of differences come to think about it. Probably more when more read this posting. Russ |
