ahhh i think i got er now. So if i did go with speakers that will fit stock ( no mods other than a tad in the rear) then i should get a sub for the lows? Is that what ur sayin

A sub is good for the lows, but you'll still find the mids left wanting. Cutting the stock front box and installing 5" or 5 1/4" speakers is a step up. Upgrading to the '91+ door speaker boxes which house 6.5" speakers is the best option if you're still looking for a semi-factory finish. The '91+ door panels have larger speaker grills to accommodate the air flow... If you don't swap in a set of them I recommend you consider a custom solution to open up the grill more.
