Silicone hose kit
So i was just wondering if anyone knows of a kit to replace most, if not all, of our factory hoses. I found this kit on ebay but im not really sure about the quality or how well they will work. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had experience with these kits and would like to help a guy out. Idk if its worth it but I would totally spend the money on it.

You mean these?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/26PCS...item3a67cec62b It looks pretty damn cool. That looks like every hose and they're molded. Color options and free shipping too.....oh wait it's from china so it may be a few weeks. No complaints about the hoses in the feedback. Give it a try and let us know. |

I did that.. but I wouldnt do it again..
I would just go to the auto store.. buy the silicone hoses (3 sizes are needed) and then cut to fit. My engine bay has them and although they are nice (I got red so they are easy to see), for what I paid... not worth it.. would have been farther ahead had I known that they were just silicone hoses that can be cut with a razor quite easily. Now that I have my old ones all boxed, I could make a whole mess of precuts.. very easy. Mind you.. I only did the vacuum lines. For the rest.. I intend to hardpipe wherever possible.. in my mind.. this is one of those areas you can "take your time" doing... I have found that my idea of "proper" changes each year.. lol.

Hoses just came in today. They shipped from china so obviously it took forever. Didnt do much with it yet cause ill be out of town this week. Just kinda looked around and tried to identify where some would go. Confused about some of them but i might find out while im replacing the other ones. Wish me luck and I plan on posting a pic after im done. Should be easy to see as they are red.

I want the same kit just haven't ordered it yet. But I did the vacuum lines in red look nice but for the vacuum line I had to put zip ties on each end to keep from coming off.

i will be doing the same thing after this kit. You should have maybe gotten small metal clamps instead of zip ties. Looks more professional and you dont have to cut them to get the line off.

Alright so right now im working on the intake portion of the install and I ran into a problem. The guy before me had a hole in the old intake plugged with some silver duct tape. Idiot. so with this new intake i dont want to use tape obviously so im just wondering what i can use to plug the hole. I would say its about half inch in diameter. I would use a plug but I wouldnt want it to to get blown out or something. Any ideas or anyone with experience in this would be great guys.
