The other night after taking a ride in my 89 NA and backing in into my driveway, I noticed a drip trail that wasn't water. It felt & smelled like ATF fluid.
![]() Sure enough, the power steering reservoir was almost completely empty and there was a lot of my ATF fluid on the garage floor. After inspection, I noticed that the hose coming off of the reservoir seems to be wet & leaking near it's bottom most connection. In the picture I have attached, it's the hose on the right (the smaller one) that I believe is faulty. How difficult is it to swap this guy out? Can I use aftermarket hoses on this or only OEM? What else can and should I be looking for while I'm down there swapping this one out? Do these hoses normally go fubar or should I be checking out something else? Thanks a million! |
