thats what i thought but all of the emblems including the ones in the taillights say 3.0 twin turbo. did toyota make any other 3 liter twin turbo motor in that era or could it be a 1 off concept?

You can get various emblems, badges, and logo's for just about anything, and some people like to put them on their cars whether they're legit or not (Posers I think they used to be called).
And of course since the MkIV 2JZ was a 3.0 liter twin turbo engine, the emblem/badge you're referring to could well have come from the same place the engine and transmission did and just been worked onto the car. After all, if you went to the trouble of retrofitting that engine and transmission into your MkIII, wouldn't you want to show off a little? |

MKIV was 1993.5 actually. There was a 1993 MKIII Supra; Just not in North America or European markets.

True value for a Supra depends greatly on exactly what kind of condition it's really in (as opposed to what condition it just looks like it's in), so I don't like to offer estimates. So I'd have to say it's worth whatever someone is willing to give him for it.

Yeah, the Supra is a half-year car for every generation, IIRC. The MKIII started half into the 1986 model year... 1986.5 to be precise. Part of it also stems from the differences in what defines "model year" in any given market. In the US a car made between October of 1986 to September of 1987 is considered a 1987.
