1986 Electronic Suspension
I just bought a 86 supra with the electronic suspension and it is in desperate need of some new shocks, it seems that I cannot just put some regular ones on it and call it a day, but I could be wrong. I am looking at some Tokico HP Shocks from HPF, they say that it will disable the system, just wondering if anyone has used these before.

Personally, I would go to a Toyota dealer and try to get factory replacement ones, but those seem like good shocks. They make adjustable ones, though; if you want adjustable... Iono
Tokico is certainly a good brand, though. And replacing the stock shocks will disable the TEMS system.

Tokico HP "Blues" are often compared to "having the blues"... They've been found by many MKIII owners to be very prone to leaking and early death when installed with aftermarket springs.
Tokico Illumina 2 are the TEMS compatible damper... seem to do better when combined with aftermarket springs. KYB GR-2 are comparable to Tokico HP but generally more reliable and do not have issues when installed with aftermarket springs. KYB manufactures OEM dampers for several car manufacturers (including Toyota for a while). They're also less expensive than Tokico HPs.
