Heard of rear 6.5" speaker pod?
I was searching around the internet tonight and I came across this forum showing a 6.5" speaker pod for the rear seats. Take a look and tell me what you think.

yea, problem was at the time i had it the insurance was insane, and i wasnt as mechanically inclined. a couple things went south, so i sold it and got an altima...prolly not my best choice haha.
might just have to make your own, some felt and resin with a MDF body |
Haha. Yeah that would suck bro. You should get another one. i love working on my supra no matter what project. even cleaning it lol
i would, they are great cars, but if i were to get another rwd car, id get a camaro like i used to have or a new mustang v6 and TT it.
im gettin a mazda mx3 this friday, plan on slapping one of my extra m62's on it eventually. 200hp + 1800 lb car should be fun lol. best part is, 200 bux for the car, and it runs great. just needs some gaskets. |
Dude that would be fun. Even just doing the gaskets lol.
yea, im lookin forward to it. just a good, inexpensive running car.
The speaker housing r made from a guy on eBay they also come in carbon fiber. I will post his user name later. He also sells other parts for the mk3's check out the site

Damn thats some expensive stuff. I wish i was rich cause i would definitely get some of that stuff. Didnt see the speaker pods though bro.
Yea I know but u have to email him about the housing his eBay user name is fazzt73
Ok I got a hold of the carbon fiber guy He has a new web site www.c7carbon.com* all the mk3 parts r not posted yet but soon they will. All so u can email him at retrospec.carbon@gmail.com about the speaker housings.
I'm surprised it took this long for a shop to offer speaker pods for that location. If you look in the galleries of various forums it's been a well welcome custom mod for over a decade... and it makes a LOT more sense there than in the door panels (ala '92+ models).
hey i know this thread may be dead but look what i found!!!!
http://www.c7carbon.com/toyota-supra...enclousers-187 Didnt order yet but its basically on the top right after i break the bank for all the other shit i need for the engine. |
Yeah I about to order a set of them to I just got 6.5" speaker housing for my doors from a 92 supra. I also have a set of 5.25" door speaker housings From a 90 supra
I take it u just have to get the door panel for the 6.5" fronts. How much did that run ya?
No I already have the 92 door panels in my 89. I paid 80$ plus shipping off eBay and like 70$ on the 5.25" that I'm going to be selling cause no need for them now since I have my 6.5"s.
ah i see. yeah i may get the door panels like that but im going to see how it sounds with just these new speaker pods. Just started looking at interior stuff again cause im getting my car painted and the interior is maroon which matches what the exterior is now
