1j swap q
so im thinking about doing a 1jzgte swap (89 turbo car)
main question is, will the bell housing from the 7m r-154 bolt to the 1j(this has probably been asked many many times sorry but google does not cut the cake on this subj). second thing is, your oppinions on me doing this?

i did a 1jzte swap earlier this year. (when i say I, I mean my mechanic lol. I didnt have the tools and the Know how to swap an engine out) There are some things you have to factor in like where your getting the engine from, the lost of some extra features(I didnt convert the a/c system over so i dont have a/c in my car). Plus there is ALOT of electric and cooling to make sure its done right. The alternator for example needs to be replaced with the Lexus SC (i think the SC300) since its harder to get the original Japanese parts sometimes. But all in all its a good engine and still can meet the needs of whatever u want to do.

ok thanks for the tips
as far as goal for my car, moar powah! lol i like to drag here so pretty much i want a better engine to tune up(7m aftermarket is dieing off slowly but surely) but yea im aiming for 6-700 hp what ill probs end up doing is buy the motor put it on a stand rip it apart get it machined (head and block) then build it up from there havnt decided on parts yet, most likly gunna use hks for almost all of it haha basically its gunna look like poo untill motor is done/cage , then ill start working on susp, and paint
