Default maf translator questions

my maf sensor is in need of a replacement and one of my friends told me about this maf translator

I am interested in getting this but have no clue how to install and if you need extra parts to install

if anyone has this in there supra and recommend this upgrade or have any input about the process for a translator that would help

and if i decide to get just a maf sensor for my mkIII whats a good brand? just in case

No MKIII came with a MAF sensor. 7M-GTE came with KVAFM, 7M-GE came paired with a VAFM, 1JZ-GTE ran a MAP based setup and so did the 1G-GTE.

There are multiple MAF Translator models with different compatibility and features (and, of course price point). I've covered these at length in the past on here... I'll look some time tomorrow to see if I can find one of the threads in which I explained them all... It might even be in the FAQ section. Dunno, I'm off to bed now.

Is this for a 7M-GE or 7M-GTE or a different setup?
