iv always like toyota products for what they are they shouldent try to imitate

and whats the deal whith the dampner on the rack and pinion, does it really serve a function or not. i got to replace it but if i handle a bit better whith it off why bother replacing?

Of course it has a purpose. On earlier models it's to help reduce the amount of pull you feel when encountering a rough driving surface or hit an obstruction. Beyond that you don't really notice if it's there or not under most driving conditions.... just a good friend for potholes.

I couldnt stand how the car would handle like a limp noodle with the targa off.... Can't stand that the targas always leak and seals are OUTRAGEOUS if u can find them! I personally am not a fan of the 7m in any way, don't take It wrong I kno they CAN make power. but needs some love to do it. JZ is the only way to go I loved my mkiii. But my Mk4. Was the best decision I ever made apart from swapping the 1j in place of the 7m

Hmm true my guy is a bit limp with the top off but I LOVE the sunshine *grins* I like the 7m because it takes work. Any fool can mash his foot down on the accelerator but my guy takes some thought. Even so I can hit over 80 on the on ramp of the turnpike. Since I live in Oklahoma it is unwise to speed. Got pulled over for doing 79 in the 75 in my old Fire Chicken. Got a warning but next time will not be so lucky. My Supra turns policeman's heads. So there you have it, I do not race on the track and more would just be more. Am planning on driving out to California this summer on route 66. The mother road goes right through my town. It should be a fun trip :)

im really not a big fan of removing the engine harness from my mk2 there is about half the room compared to the mark 3 good on them.
another thing i never liked was just the weight, and i wish there was options for different intake manifolds or possibly carb options... a triple or double weber 7mge would make some mean power... to hell with gas efficiency

and really... we could't move the upper 2 bellhousing bolts outwards a little more...

thats just my 2cents...

Sadly even ITB 7M-GE's don't gain much power.... that engine is pretty much maxed out as far as N/A applications go. I'm surprised they didn't go with a different, higher displacement offering... About the same time they started going with higher displacement engines for their N/A versions of vehicles with a F/I version.

lol or a coupe with only 2 seats, haha shorten it by 2 ft and take off 500 lbs:rofl: bet the 7m would rip then...
