Default Rev limiter?

OK,
I am reluctantly putting what may be an idiot into our lemons car. My primary concern is that he will blow a shift, or slam a downshift without RPM matching, and pop the motor.
This thing is bullet proof, if you keep RPM under 6000!

So how do i limit the RPM. In my other cars I have one of those MSD E Ignitions, where I just change out a chip, don't know how to address the supra!
