What type of mechanic are you then? It is so easy to make really bad mistakes with these cars. Second raw horsepower is not enough. It has to be deliver through the power train to the wheels and there is more that needs to be done.

when my car is running i will be hoping to hit the 300hp mark.
but i have a 1uz Lexus v8 and i have burned too much money on the project.
probly over 2k now...

all in all. i can say i would be really happy if i had a turbo mk3 with lets say.... mandrel bent intake piping a sweet IC, and a oil and power steering cooler.i personally would not step to far away from stock without a complete rebuild.
