to sell or part out, that is the question
Hello TSF! this is my first post! I Got a 1989 Supra Turbo about a month ago cause it was such a good deal, and now my wife wont let me put the money into it.
Sucks so i have been trying to sell it but im having some issues and im wondering if i should just part it out. Its a 1989 white supra automatic, runs fine, has some sort of transmission issue (on a cold start it wont move when you put it in reverse) has a suspension issue on one of the tires. Dont know much about cars but i always wanted a supra and this was going to be my first dive into the world of supra tuning. any advise would be awesome. |

i moved this thread from MKII into the MKIII section. please post in the correct areas. i almost got excited there was another mkII...
have you checked your tranny fluid?? what is your tires suspension issue?? did you break a control arm? parting it out you could probly make some good coin. make sure to keep the good things like badges, trim, if your front fenders are any good, rear bumper is a good one. if the items are in poor condition there is not much point

Parting out can be a significant undertaking and isn't worthwhile if you're not willing to go to the effort of pulling and shipping a lot of the requested parts. Selling the car as a whole is always easier but doesn't net nearly as much as a thoroughly parted out vehicle will.
If you are interested in saving the vehicle let us know more specifics about what is going on and we may be able to off some more cost-effective options.
