IDLE problem MAF?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ts-Gq...ature=youtu.be
It usually happens after i take it on a long drive then starts to idle when i dont give it gas and sometimes shuts off. I have my fan direct and i think it might be making quite alot of noise there sorry for the terrible quality. I wanna know if it is the MAF that i need to replace i seen that its a common problem for the idle. |

Definitely check codes: http://www.toyota-supra.info/forums/...tic-codes.html
And you don't have a MAF. MAF (or Mass Air Flow) is specific to a certain type of air metering system. You have a VAFM (Vane Air Flow Meter) or AFM for short. The GTE uses a KVAFM (Karman Vortex Air Flow Meter)... again AFM for short if you like but you should mention somewhere in your post (or better yet put all of your specs in your signature) whether you have a N/A or turbo. They're all VERY different.

The 52 is the nastiest of the two. Faulty knock sensor wiring is the most common problem, sometimes it's the knock sensors. Search for information on the "knock sensor rewire". You will need to correct the code 24 too, but that's not crippling like the code 52.

I have no basis for speculation in your case. As I said, the wiring is the most common cause of trouble. Unfortunately the code 52 doesn't give us enough information to narrow it down further.
