Moved to a new thread in 'MKIII Supra'.
You might want to break this down a little. It's not the easiest read and I'm not sure I fully understand what's happening. I understand you've no functioning headlights but beyond that I'm a bit lost. So: 1) No headlights, hi or low. 2) Taillights possessed by demons and flashing like sirens? These are not going to be related unless it's the switch that's bad. |
oh ok, here it is...
1. No light on both hi and low beam when I turn the headlight switch on. What's happening when I turn it on... the lights in taillight, front bumper lights and lights in speedometer is blinking so fast. 2. Fog lights has no light too. 3. When I put on the headlight switch to middle everything works fine and no blinking but off course no headlight. Kinda a weird...might be possess lol thanks a lot for replying. |
Hey CRE, I found the problem and its fixed now...I thought its the Head relay under the hood is broken but its not. I hear continuous clicking sound under the clutch pedal and there is one relay there that clicking when I turn on the switch headlight...it's just loosen, so when i insert it and push, everything works :-) the mechanic who check my car ignition problem might accidentally touch it or remove it but forgot to insert it full.
My other problem is sometimes my car wont start, I took the battery off for a few minutes then it will start, I found out that everytime I lock my car door and open it when I get inside...it wont start so I left it open all the time lol Ive heard its the security or theft deterrent system is doing this, not sure...but now its ok do u know if its ok to remove the theft deterrent system or alarm in my car and how..I appreciate your help. Your the genious here in this site. |
Ok, I believe I understand. So the relay receptacle is damaged?
The fog lights get their power from the low-beam headlight circuit. They turn off when the high-beams come on (per Federal and State regulation). The marker and tail lights all operate on a separate circuit though and as such are not affected by most things which will cause a head lamp failure. I've replied to your other thread about your problem with the car not starting... It could be the alarm or the starter-kill relay. If the alarm isn't going off when you open the door though then the relay is more likely to be at fault. Refer to your other thread to continue this discussion. |
