If you've got oil exiting via the dipstick tube or blowing the dipstick out you may have significant problems. You would do well to inspect the PCV system, make sure it is intact and clean and follow up with a compression test. Look through the site in the link provided earlier in the Engine Mechanical section for all the info you should need.
As for the audio, I'd recommend checking in with a forum with a more specific gearing toward car audio... Unless you find someone who owns products by that brand anything you hear is going to be hearsay or just quotes from Amazon's ratings. Doesn't hurt to ask though, maybe someone with first hand experience will speak up.

The seal there isn't meant to do more than retain the dipstick and not hold in much more than vapor. How much oil are we talking about anyway? It takes a lot of pressure to push oil up 16+" of 1/4" pipe and past even a weak plug.
Or is this leaking at the base of the dipstick tube?

Ok.... sorry. Out of the dipstick tube makes me think it's getting pushed all the way up and our of the dipstick tube. The GTE dipstick tube is two parts (as you may already know). From what I recall (and from looking at the EPC) the only o-ring is in the middle union. The lower portion I believe is press fit and can be tapped in with a wood block and a hammer. I can't recall any compression nut that retains it further and there isn't any listed in the parts catalog.
