7M pan bolt
Hey does anyone by chance know the thread pitch of 7MGE oil drain bolt?
Also did the bolt have a washer, plastic washer, or anything on it? Mines tight as hell but won't seal.. |
Didn't u research why? Its most common problem. If you are in cold situation then maybe its because the gasket is cold makes it leaking somewhere you couldn't see then when it got warm it went away? Then yup you will need new gasket so this problem can go away and use correctly torque then should be no problem. gud luck :wavey:

I don't have the sizes handy right now. The drain plug uses a plastic washer (a fiber washer is an acceptable replacement). It is possible to damage the pan in a rather unexpected way from over tightening. With the drain plug out the surface which sits under the flange should be flat. When over tightened a dimple will appear at the 6 o'clock position which creates a constant, slow leak. Short of pulling the pan to fix the crushed weep using a healthy amount of teflon tape is a reliable solution.

I also don't know the size off hand, but you can call the Toyota dealership or your favorite auto parts store and they should be able to tell you the thread diameter and pitch. A search on Google would also likely yield the results you're looking for.
