3" Downpipe with Divorced Wastegate

i saw this on bicperformance.com and thought this might be a good product. now has any one tryed this down pipe? from what i know the mk3 uses a recurculatin system would this affect it in any negative ways? im open to any opinions and thoughts

i currently have a3in exshaust from turbo down not incuding the elbo ( its factory)

heres the link
http://www.bicperformance.com/products.htm

im debating buying this or geting whiteline sway bars since the set is about the price bic is charging for this exhsaust, which would be more benifical and give me that fun factor

My vote goes to the BIC ddp. I have it on my car and you feel a big power difference. Its definitely a quality piece, you might hit fuel cut though

Well If you hitting fuel cut off then you know your going to it's limits. Which I want, I'm tring to see if any local shops can do the same thing for cheaper. Might as well shop around first befor droping 400$. How's the spool up whith the ddp

its pricey yes, but like i said it is a quality pipe, fits with no issues, designed for the ct26 and its LIGHT. after i unbolted the stock downpipe including the elbow, then cut off the pipe cause it was welded, it literally took me 10 -15 mins to install. remember though at WOT it gets pretty loud.

good to remember if your county has a noise ordinance.. just dont go around town wot.

pandrade 04-16-2012 03:03 PM

i live in fort myers fl there are NO emmisons or sound checks at all, so im not worried about it being to loud.

also how much more of a diffrence would it m ake since i already have a 3in down pipe and exshaust, all that is factory is the elbo

Green7mgte 04-16-2012 08:25 PM

if you do, very minimal

A DDP or a big elbow paired with a large, 'conventional' downpipe will run very much the same on low to mid level builds. When compared to any exhaust with stock elbow and/or downpipe there's a pretty big difference with either of the aforementioned setups.

pandrade 04-17-2012 01:26 AM

can u alliterate what you mean?

from what you said i got was on a lower to med build a ddp or bigger elbo wont really do mutch more than a full 3in exhaust and downpipe, maby in a higher end build it will make a big diffrence

am i any where in the ball park
