1990 supra rod knock
I have a 90 supra turbo with some slight rod knock I am looking to rebuild the engine. I am just wanting to put it back stock but with some better parts nothing to expensivei just want it to hold up better than what it did from the factory. Can anyone tell me what brand gasket sets and what brand and type of head gasket and bearings to use along with a good quality pistons without breaking the bank. It will be stock boost with no fancy parts on the car

Oem gaskets can be had from any toyata dealer..
Eagle rods are bullet proof. don't know the price but thats pretty much what everyone uses.

I think the pistons are the weakest part of the equation. I would get an OEM set of rods balanced, shot peened and cryo'd and then get some good forged pistons. On a bone stock, old hardware, setup you could try 10 or so. You'll hit fuel cut between 12 and 14, anyway. If there's any problem in your fuel system this is a neat way to find out.
