mk4 vvti head on 7mgte
some buddys and me where going on about our usual conversations of cars and what not and we got onto the subject of which parts from what motor would you put on yours and i thought, would the mk4's vvti heads even fit onto the 7mgte. i thought to myself, for that to even work would the head even bolt in, is the dome shape atleast simmilar?
I dont ever want to atempt this now maby SOMEDAY but not now. im woundering could this be possible bolting a mk4 tt vvti head onto the mk3 and make it work( i would imagine you would need a pretty advanced computer) has anyone tryed this or even thought of it? little side note what would you take from the mk4 and transplant into your mk3

besides a few rad hoses.. I don't think anything..
1jz head fits on the 2jz lower.. called a 1.5jz. Now I don't know for certain, but I don't think anything mechanical from the Jz's are compatible with the 7m.. It's a whole new power house platform. also if swapping from a 7m to a jz the vvti parts are harder to come by then the standard 1jz twin turbo.. even 2jz parts are ezier to get then the vvti. at least that's the scuttlebutt

yah i know it would be VERY hard to do if at all possible. i just am trying to coment that this would be a great motor, i belive if the 7mgte would have vvti it would make the whole 2jz-gte vs 7m-gte disscusion alot more intresting and alot closer . (im not even going into the 2j vs 7m topic, not what im aiming for lol) hell who knows maby some great enginer whith a mk3 might see this and say "hey thats not a bad idea im going to desighn a vvti head for the mk3 and sell it" if that would be the case i would buy one, who doesent like better efficency and power band
any thing you would u would have liked from the mk4 to have come on the mk3? besides vvti

haha... why would you want a 7m bottom end, over a "proclaimed" 1000hp bottom end?? 1j AND 2j bottom ends are better
go big or go home. swap the full 1j or 2j or stay with a 7m. IMO best thing you could do with your 7mge (note i saiad n/a NOT turbo model) is smash 5m pistons and head to make 3.0L5mge OR 6mge HYBRID LOL its a personal dream of mine.

if i ever owned a mk4 i would instantly put a good body kit onto it becuase whith out it the front looks terrible( to bubbly imo) now whith the right body kit hands down its beutiful the sides and rear i would leave factory. unless i went full race body like the castrol supra( that is moveing art!!!)

your 1000hp 7mgte wouldnt last a day...
if money was an option why not just stay within the 300hp range. if you want more, go for a better engine... 4 cylinders=gas efficient 6 cylinders=power and gas efficiency 8 cylinders=POWER some v8's dont weigh much more than a 7m especially when there all aluminum.

yah i could see how a mk4 rear end just wouldent quite look right, a redisighn would be awsome tho. the bumper is nice but the tail lights are way to hyper 80's. the 89 linked tail lights are acceptable i wouldent mind them at all but they could still be better ( i dont like my 87's lights)
