Oil Pump Gear Timing Question
Okay so im doing the timing kit on my car tonight, i have access to alldata thanks to work, one thing im curious though, i know the crank has to be alined to 0 and the cam gears have to be straight up on the mark, however im wondering on the oil pump gear does that have to be straight up as well?
i can see a white paint dot on the gear, but i dont see any marking on the motor behind it and cant find anything on alldata about the oil pump gear, anyone help me so i can finish? lol |

No, the oil pump does not need to be aligned.
