oil in intercooler piping
 
i have oil in my intercooler piping, not sure here but i was told its "blow by" from a bad valve cover gasket. im in the navy out at sea right now so i cant exactly check it, but i was wondering if anyone knew if it could be anything else

A bad valve cover gasket will leak oil externally, not into the intake or engine. Bad rings or an aging oil seal in the turbo are what you're looking at. I'll add that it is normal for some oil to seep past both the rings and turbo oil seal (even on a new engine) whether you've got a problem or not is a matter of how much and how fast...
