Oil Pressure Problems...
Hey wsup everyone! So my 7mgte swap was a success, the only problem I`m left with is the oil pressure gauge. It worked before, but now with the new engine, the gauge is staying at 0. The thing is I noticed a dent on the underside of the oil pan, im worried that this may be the problem? So any suggestions and tips are appreciated, Thanks!

Did you use the oil pressure sender from your original engine? Where's the new engine from? Have you checked the wire to the sender for a good, clean connection and any signs of damage? The oil pressure sender used in 7M in some other markets (primarily Japan) differ from that used in North American models.
Check the wiring and get a mechanical gauge connected to determine if the problem really is mechanical or just electrical.

Yeah so my swap is a JDM engine, and i am not using the sender from the original. I checked the wiring that comes from the ECU/Cluster that connects to the engine and it checks out good, it gives a reading when we tested it. So should there be something else i should check? Or do you think a quick drive might do the trick? Because i have only started the engine leaving it idle and reved it a little bit, but never drove it on a test run or anything

The JDM sender won't work with the USDM gauge cluster or 7M-GTE ECU (the 7M-GE doesn't get an oil pressure signal so only the gauge on the GE is relevant). The JDM sender is smaller than the one found in North American models. If it's smaller than your original then swap your original sender back in. I wouldn't go for a drive or even rev it hard until you verify that the problem isn't oil pressure.
