ARP Head Bolt Torque
I have read in this forum people have used all kinds of different torque settings for their head bolts.
I am specifically using 12 x 1.25 ARP head bolts with assembly lubricant for my bhg job. I have read on the forum that CRE has said 75 ft lbs for bolts and 90 for studs. But the instructions that came with the bolts say 90 ft lbs and it says "bolts" all over it. What gives? Last thing I need is to overtorque these bastards. Thanks in advance. kris |

According to some info CRE posted a month or so ago, ARP changed their specification for the torque. Go with what the instructions say, using the lubricant they recommend. Be sure to chase the threads first to ensure accurate, even torque.
