cockpit heat? control motor problem !
Hi! Need some advice please , my Air Vent Mode Control Servo Motor always resets to " air-con " mode every time I reset it and refit it to the loom and I am unable to move it through the dash control buttons / heat slider . The only way to get any heat in the cockpit is to remove the motor and move the door manually --plenty of heat then! . Any ideas please ?

You should know that this doesn't belong in the general Supra FAQ section nor the Feedback and Suggestions section for site related issues. Thread moved to the MKIII forum (I assume you've still got a MKIII).
I'd love to offer assistance but the climate control setup for the North American models is very different than the European models. Hopefully one of our UK or German owners will chime in.

Air Vent Mode Control Servo Motor --Problems
Hi Cre , Thanks! , The motor was removed and tested across the battery both ways and works but always resets to " cold air " - air con position every time I reconnect to the harness and will not respond to any dash commands to move at all . The dash buttons and heat slider were removed and bench tested and all work .
My car is a ( UK ) Mk3 MA70 7mgte Auto registered 1989 .I can only get heat by leaving the door open manually with the motor connected to the harness but away from it's mounting .Any ideas anyone ? Thanks ! . Last edited by interested!; 11-25-2012 at 08:53 PM. |
