88 Steering Wheel on 91 Supra
I swapped my steering wheel on my '91 Supra from an aftermarket one that was installed by the previous owner that did not have a working horn or cruise. I bought an '88 steering wheel in hopes to regain my horn and hopefully cruise control as well. I am new to this forum as I just registered primarily for this reason.
The issue I have is that the harness for the 88 wheel is different from the 91 wheel. I hope that there is a way to connect it anyway. I am geed with electrical systems, but I can not find out which prongs in the connector belong to what (cruise control and horn). I believe that the horn should be hooked up by a ground wire that runs from a medal part of the steering wheel to the vehicle's outlet and the outlet should have a prong for the power to the horn. Is this correct? If so, I still need to know what prongs are for what. Here are some pictures to illustrate my issue: http://s1327.beta.photobucket.com/us...tml?sort=3&o=0 http://s1327.beta.photobucket.com/us...tml?sort=3&o=1 Thanks in advance. |
