HKS turbo timer
 

I installed an HKS type 1 on my 1987 Supra but the rpm indication is reading zero. The pin its connected to at the ECM is black, I checked and there is no voltage. Should there be? Did the installation manuall gude me to the wrong spot? I triple checked and everything is connected per their instructions.

I'm not an expert on this, but i assume the timer is looking for a ground from the ignition (like most aftermarket tachometer's). If that's the case, I believe there's an IG- spot next to the diagnostic box under the hood that may work.

Yup, you want IG- not G-. IG- runs from the igniter to the diagnostic box and to the tachometer.
