constantly spitting out water or smoke?

that could be from many things, thermostat, radiator cap, trapped air in the system

how are you temps when driving?
does it run on all 6 all the time or does it stumble

Default Yup

SupraaGirl is right or it could be you need to flush your radiator or have it checked.

A weak radiator cap can cause it. Get a new one, they are cheap, and you should have one anyway. And don't any of you mention those dreaded 3 letters, until all else is checked.

Well the temperature is always bang on half way.

I think it was an air lock tbh as when we topped it up it was spitting water out at us then went fine.

Its steam only, and condenses on the radiator behind it sat at an angle \
