Default Radiator Upgrade (7MGE)

hello, I have a Toyota car that has the 7MGE engine (Toyota Crown Royal Saloon http://www.toyota-supra.info/forums/...html#post90582 )

My car engine bay: http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a96.../Crown7mge.jpg

I need to upgrade my radiator with koyo or mishimoto aluminum, after doing some measurements I found that my stock radiator core measures 27.4"X17.3"X1.5" volume is 711.03 cu.in

while the offered koyo Supra MKIII aluminum radiator R0171 measures 25"X14.76"X2.08" volume is 767.52 cu.in

does the above justifies the upgrade?

other choices are:

The Cressida mishimito aluminum radiator:
http://www.mishimoto.com/-98-91-toyo...-radiator.html

or

the Supra MK IV koyo aluminum radiator:
http://koyoradracing.com/images/prod...full/R1856.gif

which one offers the best cooling?

thank you for reading.

Just about anything with a higher capacity, lower restriction and more surface area is going to be a worthwhile upgrade. Don't spend too much time on this particular item, just get a well known brand. On a 7M-GE (or even a mildly built 7M-GTE) you're not going see a huge difference from one to the next. I've run the Koyo 1JZ radiator on a turbo'd 7M-GE (N/A-T) and a 7M-GTE and was very happy with the performance. They fit very well but you have to make two little brackets to clip the bottom of the fan cowl into and get a plug for the extra coolant sensor port on the bottom. They're inexpensive too... At least they were the last time I bought one.

buy an aluminum radiator if your really worries.
aluminum has greater cooling properties than plastic or other metals, its stronger which allows for larger tanks and more fluid.

Hello guys. Thank you for your input. Just received the below:

All mishimoto:

1. Cressida aluminum radiator.
2. Universal fan and shroud kit
3. Atm cooler.

Of course some modification will be needed to fit the radiator, also to fit the fan shroud on the radiator. Hope all goes well. Will update with the final results.

Bye
