Hi, I'm brand new to the forum. I need to ask a couple of questions regarding my recent purchase of a beautiful 87 Supra Turbo. And, I'm sure these topics have been posted many times before, so I'm sorry that I need to bring them up again. But, here goes;
I just purchased a 87 Supra Turbo (5 speed) with 69K miles. It's an exceptionally clean car that is all original and was garage kept its entire life (so says the original owner). Anyway, the timing belt was never replaced and I'm wondering if this is necessary. And, the Head Gasket was never replaced or torqued with the recalled/new setting. Are these things that I should address right away? The engine doesn't leak and it looks super clean (like new). I checked the radiator and the coolant is yellow. I read somewhere that it should be Toyota red. Is that something that I should replace as well? Thanks. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |
