How do you find a good Supra mechanic?
I have a 87 Supra Turbo and I need to get a few things done. I am obviously not mechanically inclined, so I need to find a good mechanic. I have called a few Toyota dealerships and they don't seem too interested in servicing my older Supra (primarily the head gasket replacement). And, I just don't think my regular shop is knowledgeable enough either (when it comes to the head gasket). So, does anybody have any tips in searching for a good place to take my Supra?
I live in the Pittsburgh area. So, if anyone knows anyone in my local area, please let me know. |
This would be better asked in the MKIII section, I think... More people will see it. I'll move it there.
To answer your question the best route is to fond other owners in your area and go from there. I don't know of anyone in Pittsburgh so I can't be of much direct help. Check out the regional section over on SupraMania.com to find local owners and their recommendations. They've got a huge user base and you're likely to find some assistance quickly. |
Go to an independent Import shop and look for the oldest in the shop, He'll know Supras :bigthumb:
