EGR gasket
so unfortunately for me one of my egr gaskets is leaking the one that's gonna be a real pain in the ass to change.
This one: https://www.google.com/search?q=Part...ml%3B300%3B119 My question is whats the easiest way to do this my idea was to drop the transmission, take off the fan, loosen the engine mounts and try to rock the engine forward just enough to have the room to replace the gasket. does anyone have any better ideas?? Also whats the torque spec and sequence |
Find someone with VERY small hands and arms and do it in place... That's what some people have done. I'd have to do it the same way you're thinking or perhaps lift the car a bit pull the drive shaft, lower the subframe and leave the transmission in place. I *think* that's doable and will take a little less work than freeing the bell housing, but it has been a while since I've worked on a MKIII.
