Lexus AFM mod question
I'm new to Toyota so excuse my ignorance.
With the Lexus AFM mod can I just put the sensor itself into my supra housing and it's good to go or do the injectors still need to be changed? I can't find a supra sensor but Lexus sensors seem to be more common. just making sure before I buy one then lean out the motor and have to replace more than just the sensor. |

What are you trying to accomplish? In the Lexus AFM mod it's the housing that's different. It uses the same sensor as the one in the Supra's housing. Bigger housing = more air = needs more fuel... This mod and it's requirements are well covered on the forum already.
I forgot to mention this: If you've got a bad sensor and you're just trying to get the car back to running in stock form then yes, all you use it the sensor and put it in the Supra's stock housing... No bigger injectors or anything.

The AFM on my supra is bad. I've been looking for a replacement and I can't find many for a supra but I see a lot of AFM'S for sc400. I searched the forum for the answer I'm looking for but couldn't find an exact answer. I'm just trying to find out if I put a sc400 AFM in my supra housing if it's plug and play or if I still need to replace the injectors with higher flow ones.
Sorry if I skipped over my answer in the faq's or in a search of the forum. |

Okay. That's what I thought you might be getting at. See my addition to my original reply.

thanks for the info. I did some research on my housing and it turns out someone swapped the supra housing for the sc400 one already so I will need to swap injectors after all....
