7m question
 

I have a 7m-gte head with a bent valve.... I was wondering if the valves in the 7m-ge were the same? If I just switch over the turbo cams to the 7m-ge head would my 7m-gte perform the same?

Was it an exhaust or intake valve? The exhaust cam on the GE and GTE is the same, but there are differences between the two intake cams and the valve-shim specs are somewhat different as well. Swap the cam and make adjustments for the valve shim and it should work fine.

It was a intake valve.... if I switch over the shims would I still have to adjust it also I noticed that the 7m-ge head has a distributor where as my 7m-gte head has coil packs.. can I just switch over this stuff also? Sorry for the noob questions just started learning about the 7m series motors and supra's

The heads are identical. The CPS/distributor swap right out. The intake cam and shim clearances are the only other differences.
