Head bolt specs for 7mgte turbo
I am rebuilding a 7mgte turbo motor. Looking for suggestions on a proper head bolt torque spec. I have heard that the factory specs are improper.

Are these OEM head bolts or aftermarket bolts/studs? If OEM, when I did my head gasket I cleaned the threads in the block with a thread chaser so there was no foreign debris to screw with my torque specs, I then took my NEW head bolts and dipped them in new, clean engine oil (as per the TSRM), and tightened them in the correct order stated in the TSRM by getting them snug with my ratchet and then using a torque wrench over 3 passes. My target was 78ft/lbs, and I did my 3 passes at 30, 55, and 78ft/lbs. If you have aftermarket bolts or studs, torque to the supplier's specs. Be sure to use the correct lubricant or your torque specs will be inaccurate
