Warning light next to door ajar light?

Hello there all, just bought my first MKIII 88 and i have had the engine and car went through, to my knowledge, the car is amazing shape.

Today i was driving my car, next thing I know there is a dummy light lite up on my dashboard, next to the door ajar light. Can anyone tell me what the light is, also what is the reasoning the light is on and how do I get it to turn off.

also my brake lights and rear lights are still working, just did some reading and found out that is my light failure sensor, so I guess my next question is what the hell?
