1991 supra mk3 7mgte, sluggish.
 

I have a 1991 supra mk3 7mgte, car runs perfect when building boost, but anything before that, i would have to press the pedal down to get the car moving good. Any suggestions on how to make the car run better? Haven't changed spark plugs as yet. :dunno:

Spark plugs and filters are where I would start. A compression test may not be a bad idea, either.

If you could be a little more descriptive that will help, so like is the idle good? How's the throttle response, is it sluggish overall?

Throttle response a little late, pedal has a little 'rusty' movement (maybe needs to be greased?) However, many people are saying change your sparks, throw in some injector cleaner and you should see a difference?

Check the Air Flow Meter and the Throttle Position Sensor adjustment. The Test procedure is in the on line service manual.

Never clean a Air Flow Meter with any solvent. Check for the 2 holes being plugged though.
Excess oil in the intake can ruin these.
