No heat from door vents
 

So I bought my 87 toyota supra and have slowly fixing all the little,thing that didn't work but for some reason the heat always comes out of the vents no matter what setting I have the heat on and would like some in site on how it fix it before I just tear into the dash looking for a problem

Haven't personally gotten into the vent controls on my '87, yet. My center, right vent doesn't flow air but the left does so I need to dig in there.

Sounds like you just have a stuck door. Looked like it was possible to access a good amount of the controls from either side of the center console. Try checking those access panels first. All I've seen by coming in through the center console are the electronics. I'll be doing that too since my low fan setting stopped working, need to check the switch.

If you are getting heat all the time, check the function of the vacuum controlled flow valve on the fire wall behind the charcoal canister. Turn on the heat on by setting it to 85 deg if the engine is cold and then pull off the vacuum hose. There should be vacuum at the hose with your finger and the valve should spring closed when the hose is pulled off. Make sure thst some one has not simply removed it and bypassed the control valve.
When they fail the usually fail in the closed position. The electromagnetic solenoid sticks internally and you have no heat.

It is common issue when the heater valve went bad.
