7mge to 7mgte without swap?

hi i am very new to the site and i do not know much about motors but i do know a lot about cars in general. i was wondering if it is possible to just put a turbo on a 7mge and what would need to be done if so.

It can be done. just watch the boosting with the compression rate and ignition. Might help if u get GTE pistons and rods and maybe the ignitor but i'm not sure about the ignitor. I'm a newbie too. I'm thinking about doing a 1JZ swap but i might just keep it simple with the 7MGTE.
