(AUTO) MK3 not shifting from first when in D.

Hey everyone,

I started up yesterday getting ready to head to work. As I was accelarating I noticed that the RPM was way too high for the speed I was going. It feels as if its only using the first "gear". I checked the code and it showed up as 52, "52 Knock sensor Open or short circuit in knock sensor signal". Any help is appreciated.

It could be a bad knock sensor or wiring.
