headgasget might be bad not sure anyone know ?????
my 88 turbo seems to lose anti freeze one way or anyother im not sure how but the overflow tank smells like gas kind of i dont think it has any oil in it but smells like gas and u can see what looks like gas in the tank what is wrong !!!!???

Just run by a good repair shop and have them perform a 'block test'. This will tell if there is a BHG.

Everything your saying is happening sounds really familiar,my 90 supra had similar problems right before my head gasket blew. The only way I know of to tell if it is going bad is to check the gasket your self. Pop the hood and look on the sides by the headers, If you see any fluid leaking out the side your in trouble

MOST of the 7m BHG's are internal, and you'll not see any coolant. They leak at one of the coolant passages next to a cylinder. The high combustion pressure & heat, and the original headbolt torque of 58 lbs is the cause.
Major signs include water loss, or too much, in the plastic bottle. Bublling sound from the heater core under the dash. Smell of exhaust in the plastic bottle. etc. |
