engines
whats up everybody. ive been a fan of supras for some time now, but when i could finally afford one i bought a stealth tt instead. well, long story short i just got the engine back in and really dont want to mess with much longer, its high maintence and unreliable. i found a 92 turbo with a blown engine for a pretty good deal. can anybody tell me a reputable place i could get a 7M-GTE or 1jz? and does anybody know if theres any writeups on working on these cars?
thanks in advance for the help. alex |

www.jdmenginedepot.com theyll give you anything ull need...harness, ecu, and of course the motor, you can buy teh whole clip and part it out yourself or buy it off piece by piece...i recommend teh clip its a lot cheaper....but there are a lot of reputable places...just gotta know where to look...but i used these guys for my 1jz swap...plus their warehouse is close by and plus i know some of these guys so i got some "hookups"

I heard that for the JZ's to fit that there has to be chasis modification done. I figure that the 7M mounts wont work but I was just wondering if this is true....

yea you gott change the mounts...nothing too difficult...i dint have any chassis mods done to my car...well just some small stuff...since it is a lighter block than the 7m..the stock mounts are ok...but theyre in different places than the 7m...its just small mods you might have to move them a little..otherwise the 1jz just bolts up easy
