is this right?
my steering wheel looks a bit odd...1987
the cruises control looks as though there is a section that is missing below it, because if I push the three male thngs into the female on the stalk when replacing the hooter, the cruise control unit has a huge gap between it and the surround... If you look at the pics, then then I have the hooter section fitted so the cruise control is flush, but there is a gap at the top back and it is not seated properly. It seems there is a piece missing somewhere???

I am sure someone has an 87 that can tell me if the cruise control unit looks ok, and there is nothing missng?? I know the hooter section isn't pushed all the way in, but if I do, then the cruise control unit has a one inch gap between the bottom of it and the steering wheel.
There is nothing wrong with the inside bracket or anything like that - anyone?

From what I remember when I replaced my steering wheel and took off all that stuff was that there was a gap too...but it turned out that i aligned somethings wrong. Maybe double check the reinstallation you did and if all looks fine, then shouldn't worry too much about it.
