So what fluids does everybody use? Oil, rearend, transmission, radatior, brake, clutch, gas, anything or anywhere i cant think of.

Oil: 20-50w Castrol High-Mileage
Oil: 5-50w Castrol Syntec (when I feel nice and have money)
Rearend: Redline
Transmission: Redline
Cooling: 75% Distilled Water/25% Prestone Extended Life + Redline Water Wetter
Brake & Clutch: Standard Dot 3
Power Steering: Standard Stuff
Gas: 91 Cheveron (+ a good fuel system cleaner every 3,000 miles)

whats your oil pressure like with 20-50. how do you like the redline? i was thinking royal purple myself

As far as oil pressure, I wouldn't be able to tell you yet cuz I broke my car after only driving it twice. I am doing a topend rebuild and while I'm at it, I'm going to change to the performance fluids.

I saw a TV program recently that independently dyno checked the HP gain from swaping hi-performance (I didn't catch the brand used) tranny, transfer case, and differential fluids on a 4x4 Dodge truck. It revealed that the fluid freed up to 20 hp and showed gains throughout the entire RPM range. Highly Impressive.

Yeah I saw that same show, it was "Trucks!". They used all Royal Purple fluids, 20 new pony's, I also, was very impressed.

I had learned thru the years, that its not a good idea to start putting synthetic into an engine that has over 50k on it. The seals may start leaking because the syn. will clean things up, and is thinner, and will find its way out.

OOOPPSSS!!! 2 years ago I had a brain fart, and replaced the Dextron 3 in my Power Steering with Amsoil syn. 1 month later, the rack blew the left end seal. Oil everywhere !!!

It happened on the way to the "Hot Import Nights" car show at the L.A. Covention center, Sat. night on Labor Day weekend. Well, I said f*** it, and went on in and had a great time, as I'd just have to deal with my problem on Sunday. (you should definately attend one of the shows near you)

So.....be cautious with swapping to syn. on old systems and seals.

I've used synthetic everything in the 81 FJ60 Landcruiser and 89 7MGTE I own and never had a problem. And yes Redline in tranny and rearend. 60/40 in the radiator Prestone. And ALWAYS the best fuel, its worth the 15 cents more or whatever.
