when u go to look at it have the seller start it up and let it run......after it runs for awhile check to see if any fluids are leaking out under the car. also watch the tempurature gauge. also ask him if the a/c heat and lights all work (i bought mine and none of that stuff worked and now its a hassle to fix) also to see if the engine is in good mechanical condition listen for any weird noises and i check the oil if the oil is really black and thick then it prolly hasn't been checked regualarly.
oh and if u buy it make sure its got enough gas to get u back home........i found that out the hard way. |

great ideas thanks a lot, ill probably have my dad come along hes a muscle car nut. also since it is an auto, is the tranny strong enough to handle extra power b/c im pretty sure im gonna mod the car lol. i really hope its a turbo lol, also lets say it has 150k miles on it for arguments sake and its in fairly good condition, is it worth 1800? thanks again!

the auto trans question i'm not sure on. but the price if its a turbo and has 105k its prolly not a bad deal. i bought my 87 n/a for 1900 and blew it up 3 months later....i was jiped but i just wanted a supra bad and didn't wanna wait.
sry i don't know about hte automatic transmission. my guess is it'll hold some xtra power but not alot. |

In the muscle car world its harder to blow an automatic up..
Heh.. I just blew up my Richmond Super T-10 a few weeks ago. I'd guess it'll be the same with a smaller automatic. |
