Changing starter - 89 NA

This is my first post so be easy on me. Bought an 89 NA Supra - need to replace the starter. Bottom bolt easy - top one is hard to see - should I start peeling hardware off to get at it? Is there an easy way to do this one? Would love to hear from someone that has done this one before. I've done allot of starters on many vehicles - this one looks like it's not a favorite. This is such a real nice car - I almost felt guilty giving $400 for it. You have a great forum here. Thanks

You don't have to take stuff off to get it, just look carefully, and maybe with a mirror. You will have to use a swivel socket. The TSRM is silly.

use a long extension with a swivel socket, feed the socket above the motor mount from the front, you have to do this by feel. Not one of toyotas better designs.

I use the extension swivel trick with a box end on the other side to keep the nuts from moving.
