What can i do to make a stock motor with 40,000 miles on it stronger. I got a ct 26 made into a 57 trim got fuel managment ignition managment safc, avcr, full exhaustand some more goodies. Would love to do forged internals but got not enough money. Looking for 400 to 450 hp. Also got rps clutch and fidaza flywheel. Hks mhg 2mm. Got everything just not installed cause u want to know how to make the stock motor stronger .Its also a jdm motor. Pleasr respond thanks.

Sounds like your off to a good start. To my knowledge your internals are still
good for your target HP levels. You say you've got fuel management, what do
you have? Do you mean your fuel system is upgraded as well? If you haven't
definitely look to upgrade to 550cc injectors, 255lph fuel pump, and a Lexus AFM
because you've upgraded your turbo.

Get ARP studs for everything and some good aftermarket connecting rods. An upgraded radiator and maybe even an oil cooler. I hear the stock engine is good to about 400 hp before major mods need to be done. Balance everything! Lighten everything! (No lightening holes in the rods please!!....lol) You might even want to check into a one piece driveshaft too. It is a strong engine but in a heavy car. It would be nice if that was easy to take weight out of.

I've seen the stock motor handle over 500 reliably, for a good period of time. You're probably not going to get to 400 without something bigger than a ct-26, even an upgraded one. It can be done, but you would need a very good choice of supporting mods, and great tuning to do it with the ct.
