Was wondering if it would be a good idea to buy it since it is so cheap. I have an almost 100% stock supra.. Whaddya think?

Those are knock-offs of the HKS downpipe. The criticisms of those, are that its acutally 2.5" where it meets the elbow, and they hang somewhat low so there is a problem with them scraping on lowered cars. It is not reasonable for high power goals, unless you want to get an aftermarket turbo elbow somewhere down the line. If you're just going for BPU and are on a budget, I think this would probably work fine for you, and give you a very noticeable performance increase. Getting rid of the stock exhaust and the cat are the best bang for the buck mods you can get.

I know it's a dead topic but did you see the price of shipping? To answer your question, that's why it's so cheap.

Always check shipping costs. I've see items with a "buy it now" of $0.99 but shipping is around $50.

Are those legal in CA?

Bullz_EyE 11-27-2005 02:39 AM

No, but are often overlooked during visual inspections, especially if they do the sniffer test 1st and you pass.

Has anyone passed CA smog test with a downpipe?
