High miles...
My 87 Supra 7mge has 164500 on it right now...I bought It about 4 weeks ago. Im very familiar with mopars but just got into the toyota scene. So, I have a few questions. Does anyone know of any rebuild kits that you have had good experience with? The engine does not knock at all and seems to run fine, but the miles kinda scare me. Or is this 'few miles' in the supra world? Beats me....

Here is a tip you can apply to any car. No problems? Don't make them! Anytime you crack the block your asking for trouble unless your expierenced. Instead give it, or have it given, a through inspection of all the bolts, brackets, mounts, hoses, belts, etc. Find whats broken, then fix. Also, don't forget to do the basics. Flush your brake and clutch(if applicable). change tranny oil or fluid. Oil change, Fuel/oil/air filter change. Check tire tread/condition. replace disposable items like plugs and wires. That kinda stuff, welcome to the Supras, they are alot of fun and rewarding if you put the time and work in. Just remember: 1)Repair, 2)Restore, 3)Research, 4)Retrofit and 5)let it rip.
