Well then how about a brief description about what is happening to your car. With that, many on here can help you diagnose the problem pretty well. Just start at the beginning and add stuff as needed.

By the way, welcome back Suprra_girl.

Alrighty, I have brought a 1989 Toyota Supra Turbo to MI, Whooo. But this is the story so far. OK the body is in perfect condition and same with the interior. It has never seen a winter before. But this is where it gets messy, OK He told me that He put in a bigger turbo from off his friends car because he got a new one and (was running on the stock head gasket). He said it was working fine for a little bit and then he blew the head gasket. So he went out and got a 1.5 MM HKS gasket and put it in there. And he said it won’t start now. He says that when he goes to fire it up. It starts up but back fires like CRAZY and he checked the timing and he said it was all TDC. So what I Am hoping is that because it starts up it will just be something minor. Like mix up of the firing order with the spark plug wires or he has it on the wrong cycle. We had the same problem with my brothers 240SX we dropped a new engine in it and tried to start it up and backfired like crazy and the timing was right and the sparkplugs but it was on the wrong cycle so we fixed that and it fired right up. So, what my question is. What do you guys think I should do to try to fix it. I am having some friends come over Either Fri, or Sat, to work on it. What I am planning on doing is running a compression test, sparkplug wiring order (I did it but I just looked at it quickly before I went inside) so I will need to make a more thorough check on that. And check the timing and see if it is on the right cycle.
Do you guys have anything else I should try….?

And I forgot to mention. I pulled the spark plug wire off of spark plug number 5 I think or 6 not sure. And I looked down and there was a pool of gas around the spark plug.. I could just barley see the top of the plug……..
heh thanks good to be back for a bit, my laptop broke so sent it for repair, been using a friends computer lol

Well, check the timing, both ignition and cam. With the head r&red, it could easily be either or both. Vacuum lines could be wrong too, but get a manual and check those first two things then let us know.

Ok, sorry it has been so long since my last post. But I have done just about ever thing to get this car running. The timing is DEAD on. I checked it rechecked it and double checked it. I took off my fuel rail and all of the fuel injectors and cleaned all those. And I ran a cold compression test and I am getting roughly 180ish on ALL 6 cylinders. I am getting spark in ALL of the spark plugs. When I take out the sparks plugs they are wet with gas. I also read somewear on a forum to check to see if your fuel injectors are working. Is to take a stethoscope and hold it up to the fuel injectors and to listen to make sure they are clicking. Or to use a long screw driver (longer the handle the better) and to hold it up to the fuel injectors. And I did that. And they are ALL firing. I have checked all my fuses and relays. I checked to make sure my fuel pump is working. And it surely is. I connected the FP (fuel pump) to the B+ (battery positive terminal) and it is pumping away. I checked for codes and the only codes that I am getting is 51. But that should not effecting the start up. Now when I go to turn it over. Its tries to start up and maybe goes like put put put. But then dies immediately. And I have tried to spray either in the air intake. Because if it starts up when I do that.. then I have a fuel prob. But it does not. I just get a 3 foot flame shooting out of the intake… I think I have covered just about everything. But if you go to the other forum (Which is excellent) it is 3 pages of people trying to help me. So you can see there what people have asked and maybe some other things that I have tried. Sooooo. ya
